Thank you so much. It explains things like why it took me until a week before Conestoga to get myself a hotel room, and why shifting my ass to the post office seems like such an undertaking. I don't feel depressed, and I'm not physically tired, and I have the time; it's committing to the decision to do something that's tough right now.

Hee. Yeah.

I'm playing with my new computer. *g*

Wow. No wonder all this data-proofreading makes me feel so exhausted. I shall no longer feel guilty about taking revivifying naps. (Not that I *did* feel guilty - empirical observation tells me I do better work after a nap!)

Spooky. I just spent my lunch hour reading about executive function. *G*

That article makes so much sense - and is such a relief. The reason I can't settle to more work after finishing an assignment is NOT because I am lazy and unmotivated but because my brain needs a break. Phew!

That link's gone straight into my favourites.

Did you notice that you got a "greatest first line is SF" citation in i09 for "Undertow?"

Is this why I have to obsessively check my flist and my email after every 6 sentences, because I'm holed up in a hotel to bring the last chapters of this damn book to a high gloss, and I've been doing this for days on end without a break and I can't concentrate any more?

I sure hope so. Because the alternative is that I'm a lazy bollocks.

Apropos of your icon above, I watched *Labyrinth* the other night. Yummy puppets. Yummy costumes. Yummy, yummy David Bowie.

Yes1 Exactly.

Here, some more Bowie to tide you through....

This explains so much
It's also kind of alarming. My profession means I'm more prone to poor decision making? Good thing there are agents...
