Sewing, for me, is more about making useful stuff which I want and which the world refuses to give me, like tablecloths which fit my stupid table. But when I get the machine which lets me put fabric and patterns in one end and finished product comes out the other, I'll be overjoyed. There are weirdos out there who actually like hand sewing, and I just don't get it. Didn't we mechanize this for a reason?
...okay, maybe if I got to sew on people. But even then there's a reason the fancy surgeons make somebody else close up the cavity. Bored now, hands tired.
Playing with yarn is more like playing with beads; I get to make pretty colorful shiny things. I like colors. Hand me all the paint swatches in the hardware store and I'm good for days.
