i'm all right. don't nobody worry about me.

ace the wonder dog
Really, honestly, the last dogspam post of the night...

Ace had a visitor tonight: The Lesser Ridiculous Dog, his favoritest girl dog, Banyan, one of my mom's crew.

20090403 008

Although she's about half his size, Banyan's only about two weeks younger. She's a full-grown female, but she's a small female and Ace is a large male, so that gives you an idea of the size range in the breed.

You can also really see, in these photos, that he's a grey dog, since she's a true black.

20090403 010

Ace would really like her to be his girlfriend and stay forever.

20090403 014

He lets her beat him up. *g*

I thought Ace was the cutest dog ever, but now I'm not so sure. I have to look away from the cuteness before it destroys me.

I love it when my big dogs do that. I've got a 100 lb lab and a medium (35?) sized mutt, and every so often the lab pretends to let the little dog win. My Anatolian used to let the large chihuahua-sized chase him around, though occasionally he would engulf her in his mouth until she stopped.

LOL Caena lets my fat cat, Max, beat her up.

There is just nothing cuter than a dog in play posture: paws out, butt up.

My little one (in icon - 6lbs) actually does this when she gets on the table at the vets office, which never fails to crack up the techs.

Is Very Nice Girl. & So Happy.

Ista gets a play date with her best buddy Sunday night and her boy and her baby and her mormor and walkies with her best buddy. So I think the Best Day Evar title is going to be pretty hard to wrest from her clutches that day.

But tonight was Ace's Best Day. *g*

I've had an absolutely crappy week, but I've gotta say the stream of pictures of the GRD have really cheered me up. Doggies are wonderful (-:

Of course now I'm also experiencing guilt for not brushing out my own fluffball nearly often enough.

Plus, you never have to scrub dried-on oatmeal out of a bowl again.

Or, at least, I don't. :->

Banyan is absolutely adorable! How is it that she gets to look so adorable and slightly ridiculous, and Ace looks very ridiculous, but happens to be cute because of it? It must be a personality thing.

He's naturally more highly ridiculous than she is. I think because he tries to be dignified. *g*

Our younger beagle is excessively dignified.

And not at all graceful.

Which makes for the lulz, often. :->

I am now absolutely in love with this breed. (It helps that I adore giant dogs, having grown up with a 150pound great pyrenees.) Your doggie and his girlfriend are *adorable*.

There is no such thing as dogspam. Spam, in all it's incarnations, is a Highly Undesirable, and Slightly Offensive, Substance.

Dogs-particularly those of the Giant and Ridiculous persuasion-however, are by their very nature pure wintonium. Thus, dogs can never be spam.

also, ZOMG GIANT FLUFFEH PUPPEHS! Wasn't there an XKCD about this effect, except with cats? Inanity of speech increases with proximity to cute fluffcreatures?
