Quarter of a book! Which is actually closer to a third of a book, really, in manuscript page count.

And about 1500 words on the sizzling raygun space pirate story, hereby renamed "Boojum." Which is finished, at least in draft, and due for at least one more poke from both of us, I would guess.

Stimulants:  green tea chai, muffins made with leahbobet's sour cream berry muffin recipe, scallops with sichuan peppercorns
Exercise:  1.6 miles yesterday, the good work of which was no doubt all undone by the fact that we were walking to a bar, where we ate a lot and then drank beers. OMG, best steak and cheese ever. OMG, Reuben egg rolls. They make their own corned beef, man.

A mere 5 miles along my route to Mordor, I am now entering Tookland. Since it's currently -2 F out there considering windchill, something tells me any miles today will be made in the gym on the ski machine, and reported tomorrow. Maybe I can make it out of Hobbiton today.
Songs mutilated: just the usual suspects.
Mammalian assistance: Mebd is sharing my sunbeam. Or perhaps I am being permitted to share hers.
Mail: nomail

Today's words Word don't know:  nanotools, Metatron, unsulky, unkink,
Darling du Jour: n/a
Mean Things: scrawling over pointy things, cramped conditions, cannibals
Tyop du Jour:  the colonies of pale parasitical bromeliads that brew from the pressed and extruded walls.
Jury-rigging: n/a

There's always one more quirk in the character: Rien and Perceval both complain
Other writing-related work: n/a
Books in progress: Phyllis Ann Karr, The Arthurian Companion; Susan Perabo, Explaining Death to the Dog
