I diagnose borderline but functional multiple personality disorder. But really, we're fine.

Word Count: 1103
Reason for stopping: End of scene, and the next one is a Kit-and-Will scene, and I need my whole brain for those. I'll do it in the AM when I'm fresh.

As previously mentioned, I'm one of these oddballs whose characters seem to have a life of their own. They "hide" things from me. Sometimes I have to blackmail, extort, or cajole important information from them. Sometimes, they utterly refuse to do anything I want.

Anyway, I had one of those nights tonight. Figured out that I was stalled because I bloody well needed to get Kit or Mary Poley to tell me something. Resorted to blackmail to get Kit to open up, and then used his fragmentary information to get the real story out of Mary.

Meanwhile, discovered something about Will's attitude toward extramarital sex that cracks me up. Boys. Will be boys. Even when they live in my head.

End result: a scene. One that even does stuff and sets up some stakes. But man, that was a lot like work.

More tomorrow.

RICHARD: O villains, vipers, damn'd without redemption!
Dogs, easily won to fawn on any man!
Snakes, in my heart-blood warm'd, that sting my heart!
Three Judases, each one thrice worse than Judas!
Would they make peace? terrible hell make war
Upon their spotted souls for this offence!
