3,437 words today, for a complete first draft of "The Red in the Sky is Our Blood." Total words for the year, a little over 130K.

Now I ignore it for a week and hope it magically fixes itself.

So tired now.

Tomorrow, I have to go back and start revising Seven for a Secret.

My current plan, which is to treat the looming crop of deadlines as if they were term papers I had ignored too long--anything is better than a zero, right?--seems to be helping me actually write and finish stuff without worrying too strenuously about it.

I will take a crack at making it my best work later on. Right now, I'm just trying to get back in the saddle and stick on the horse.

Actually, right now I'm going to bed. But in general, I'm just trying to finish these damned things.

Only Chill left to go. And I have a month and a half in which to finish it.
