'twas beauty killed the beast

I have not done a lot of reading this year. The lack of concentration that was kicking my ass this winter and spring with regards to writing also made it awfully hard to sit down and read a book. However, I seem to be getting that back as well. And, interestingly, I'm getting better at just reading again, rather than reading with a gimlet editorial eye.

A really vast improvement, that.

As you cn probably tell from the percentage of fluff on the list recently, I'm trying to renew my idea of what the state of the genre fantasy market looks like.

I ran one mile and walked one mile this morning. That wasn't a strain on my cardio system at all, and I could have run out the whole thing, but it was hot and sticky and the air quality sucked. It's supposed to rain tonight, so I have hopes for tomorrow morning.
