4) 1443 words on "Wind-Up Boogeyman" tonight. Progress! It was actually very pleasant writing, all the fun of telling somebody a story I know and enjoy. And I even know what most of the scenes are, and the plot, and how it ends. There is something to be said for giving stories time to ripen before you try to write them.
It feels really nice to have done a real day's work, thugh. I have today justified my continued existence, which is nice.
Next time I'm absolutely killing myself trying to write something that just isn't ready yet, I need to remember this truth: fallow time is important, Bear.
