1005 new words on Chill Sanction Chill today, and revised to the end of Chapter 6. Tomorrow, chapters and 7 and 8 are on the chopping block. I feel extremely productive.

I also added about 500 words of exposition to "The Tricks of London" and am calling it done. Now, I think I shall go procure a benerage to assist me through the horrific process of proofreading this galley.

Mmm, I think you just coined a delicious new drink term. Benerage. Like a drink that does a body good. I like it.
Precisely! A benevolent or beneificial beverage.

For example, ginger tea with honey.
Drinking benerages is often virtupus.
Benerages are far too pleasant to be virtupus, I fear. Virtuposity carries a certain implication of suffering.
When I was a girl, at the first hint of illness, my mom would mix up this, um, stuff. Hot water, as much garlic as she thought I could stand, some honey, lemon, and either ginger or cayenne. "Drink up!" It worked, though.

It was a beneficial drink that involved suffering.

Ah, I see. It's a problem of cognates. The root of "benerage" is closer to "benevolent" than "beneficial."

I have a very nice cold tea that's similar, without the garlic, and actually quite tasty. I get my medicinal garlic in pickled form. *g*
Aha! It can't be a benerage unless you like to drink it, and it's not virtupus unless there's some suffering/dread involved? Gotcha.
