Tempest and Ken and some other friends of mine have talked recently about shedding your skin, about death and rebirth. And now I find myself in terms on Inanna's descent into the underworld, and of stripping off her clothes and jewels and going naked into the darkness, clad only in her divinity and in the end, only in herself.

And that's what it's about.

Leave your stuff in a pile by the edge of the light. Take off your sword and your rings. You go in alone, into the darkness, alone and full of grief.

But it you're lucky, you come out whole.

For everybody who needs to hear this, and I know there are a lot of us: what comes out of the fire and the dark and the water is stronger than what went in. Blessed be.
