writing gorey vast reluctance

i can't hear a thing 'cause i've stopped listening.

I have finished the first revision pass on Chill, which mostly amounted to going through and making lost of line edits (and stetting a few) and making lots of notes to myself about things that need to be fixed. So the entire document is now spattered with highlighted yellow, pink, and green [bracket notes] telling me crap is busted.

Tomorrow, I get to start the long and painful process of actually rewriting the damned thing so it makes some sense and has some emotional impact, or at least kicking some leaves over the worst of the plot holes.

But for now, I am gonna drink some chai and start the last vacuum on "Wind-Up Boogeyman."

Yep. There's a lot of work around here all of a sudden.

I don't know if it was just a coincidence, but if it isn't... nice use of a Barenaked Ladies lyric in your subject line.

Rebar would work better. More expensive and painful, though, and I suppose that's the point of the leaves.

Whatever you do, though, I have faith.
