657 words on The White City today, and perhaps a fresh grasp of the task at hand. At the very least, I have a whole bunch of highlighted passages where Important Clues are being dropped, and I have a list of possible clues and red herrings in my trusty notebook.I also have a sense of scale--I'm about halfway done with the story. So I have plenty of room to get the work done that needs doing.
Hopefully, the process of grafting in a plot won't be too traumatic, because the setting and characters are nice. If I do say so myself.
I'm kind of in love with the clever homicide detective. I think I shall join Sebastien in hoping he's not the killer. Because that would make us both sad.
