mythbusters adam mayhem

it's hard sometimes but pretty much it's all right.

Kjitten just knocked over the lamp on my dresser. And then dematerialized, as kjittens can.

This is his second lamp this week.

colomon, mandolinjen, what's that thing you say? "For pretty, not for smart?"

Was the lamp broken?
rotflmao.

Sorry.

Also, "for the pretty, not the smart" is totally my song next time I'm dancing on tables...
That's why I share.
Now if we can just get you at that party... ;)
Bless the furry little dear.
Ah, yes.... we have a series of "for pretty" kjittens of various ages in-house. And, of course, there is my sister's infamous Maine Coon, who is often mentioned in conjunction with the phrase, "Good thing he's purty, 'cause he ain't too bright."
the lamp was depressed and jumped.
Poor kitty! That lamp must have given him such a fright!

;) *chuckles at kitty*
Lamp shouldn't have been looking at him that way.
We came home from work one day and one of the bedroom lamps was broken in HALF. Exposed wiring and everything. Now we unplug every lamp before we leave the house.
Fluffy on the outside, fluffy on the inside.
The lamp just needed love.

That's how most of my cat's knockovers go, to the point I've described her skills as staring out windows, fighting with other cats, and knocking stuff over. The root behavior in the third seems to be nuzzling stuff to mark territory.

She knocked over a writing slope with a laptop on it, which in turn knocked off a desk lamp. I didn't even know the thing was balanced that way, but she found its tipping point.
I seriously sometimes think our older cat is a Marilyn Monroe character in feline form. (The other being closer to a female Woody Allen.)
