What I'm doing here, for those of you who read for the Writer Tech Tips, is going through the existing manuscript and creating a reverse outline, which will detail all the things I have already done/set up/arranged. Then I will figure out what sort of a plot that supports and outline the rest of the book, including the scenes that go in between the scenes I have and contain things the manuscript is currently missing, like plot, tension, characterization, or any reason to keep reading.
This is one of the reasons whyI don't subscribe to mythologizing my writing process. Whatever works is whatever works. If I get stuck going one way, I try a different one.
(stay tuned for further updates.)
