It is a very bad draft. But the plot is all in there, even if the contractors are obviously still at work, and several major plot developments currently exist as [bracket notes: go back and put this in] and it's got 75% too much exposition, and four chapters are only represented as outline notes, question marks, "So who DID kill what's-her-name two thousand years ago?"
We call it a draft because it's full of holes, dammit.
Manuscript stands at 378 pages. And I'm not looking at it again for at least a month.
Now, on to the next thing, which I think is my RoF review column. And then the short stories due in June need to go down, along with A Reckoning of Men, but I might need a little post-novel ennui here first.
