i was okay with that.

Being a review of Criminal Minds 06x11, "25 to Life," written by Erica Messer, directed by Charles S. Carroll.

CM is bringing their A team tonight. Let's see how it goes...

Prentiss is stepping up into a supervisory role. You go, girl. And no Hotch this week? Interesting. While Mom's away, Big Brother has to step up.

And in the absence of JJ, Erin is running files.
I love how Morgan Ma'ams Strauss, and looks to Rossi for a clue. And Derek's in a collared shirt and tie. I bet he keeps that in his go bag for when Strauss walks in.

Art in the cell; reminiscent of "Riding the Lightning."

"Do you have any idea what it's like to be accused of something you didn't do?" Well, yeah.

You know, Shemar Moore just gets more beautiful as maturity and dignity creep up on him.

Oh dear. Reid's hair is wow. Did you lose a fight with a lawn mower, Spencer?

Erin, Erin. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? I know, I know, it doesn't give that kick at the end of the cold open we need. And Reid's right there with her.

Hah. Of course. He's a medical doctor. This is The Fugitive. Crossed with the case of Capt. Jeffrey MacDonald, M.D. (That's the Fatal Vision case, for those of you playing the home game. Interestingly, some forensic experts thought MacDonald didn't do it.)

A 38 in '94.

Go, Reid.

And of course a son who has not known his father is the key to Morgan's psyche.

Strauss is... the Boogeyman!

I like this, cold case vs. fresh case. It's a really good way of maintaining tension.
Derek, Strauss is protecting you. In that political way that she has.

"He's in control, he has all the power, and--he hates her."

"Alright. Let's clean him up first." Rossi <3

"She wanted to take the baby."
"To build their own twisted family." Prentiss focuses on the dysfunction.

That's not how you do a photo lineup, gentlemen.

Morgan chase scene! Run Derek Run!
(Out out damned spot!)

"The whole thing's a house of cards."

"So, we're looking for a liar in D.C."
Garcia not looking, not looking--professional and in control.
I love the logical circuit this episode makes with "Profiler Profiled."
"You want me to find rich and powerful men in D.C."

Morgan cracks the case!

Ooo. Erin is Evil Erin this week. Really, I Like her better when she has a motive beyond being a plot complication.

"He's now officially a serial killer."

Umm. Where's the Secret Service? I kind of like the confrontation, but I'm not exactly buying the setup here.

Aww, The muscle in Morgan's manly jaw is jumping. That's a nice shot.

...and forward to the mid-season hiatus!
