no subtle thing but there are no kings anymore

Today is declared A Rest Day. Even D'Argo agrees I need one. Tomorrow I probably start work on "REZ," the high-concept optimistic SF novella. It's all novellas all the time between now and the end of April: "REZ," ad eternum, The Shaded King.

In between those, I will be working on An Apprentice to Elves, with truepenny, and I will also be trying to finish a draft of May Mazer and the Ghost Ship. It's going to be a busy 10 weeks. I believe this is what Chuck Wendig would refer to as the bloodsplattered slaughter of hordes of conscript words.

It's 9 am and I'm still under the cat, so I'm off to a good start on the Rest Day, anyway. Other plans: read some books, watch some TV, play some guitar, wear pajamas all day. *g*

Snowpocalypse tomorrow, apparently. They have to put back the 10 inches of melt we got this week. It's in the contract.

Meanwhile, I'm signing books at Pandemonium in Central Square, Cambridge, MA on Tuesday, from 7-10. They will have copies of The Sea Thy Mistress, Grail, and possibly The White City. ctwriter is coming along with me.

Excelsior!
