Phew.

Much more ongoing discussion with the wonderful and benevolent truepenny on the harsh world of Elizabethan drama, and I've outlined The Stratford Man Act I, scenes viii through x.

Which should bring me to ~page 150, and the end of Act One.

And I've written a very rough sketch of the denouement, which, along with the outlining and notes, gives me a total of -- 955 words.

And! A resolution and a reversal. *dances the dance of lifting structure from dead guys*

là!

Going to see The Hulk today. I'll let you know how it goes.

What an odd mood I find myself in--

--I seem to be in mourning tonight. Probably because I've been doing so much living with people who have been dead for ~400 years. And I've got that feeling about ol' Christofer and Gulielmus that I usually only get listening to Jim Croce live recordings: A sort of cross between annoyance and sorrow that these people are dead, because the more I get to know them, the more they seem like the kind of people I like to go out drinking with. They were just such... fucking neurotic writers with a deadly sense of humor.

Just like all of my friends.

Well, okay. I'd actually pick Jim Croce as a drinking buddy over the other two, but you know what I mean.

So in the interests of exorcism--

James (Jim) Croce: (born) 10 January 1943 (died) 20 September 1973 in Natchitoches, LA, aged 30 years, in a light plane crash.

Christofer (Kit) Marley: son of a Canterbury shoemaker, (born) 6 February 1564/63 (died) 30 May 1593 at Deptford Strand, aged 29 years, stabbed above the right eye at the house of one Emma Bull.

Gulielmus (William) Shakespere: son of a Stratford glover, (christened) 26 April 1564 (died) 23 April 1616 in Stratford, aged 52 years, in bed with a freshly amended will.

Dunno what's gotten into me, but maybe this will get it out.

Oh, Hulk could have been better. It could have been worse. I did not want the two hours of my life back, but I probably won't see it again. *g*
