Jed Hartman reports, "Best comment I overheard from the crowd, just one observer commenting to another: 'It makes me wonder: What else can we just go ahead and do?' "

Yeah, it does. Doesn't it?

Complete paper edit on The Stratford Man finished last night by bedtime. I still have about a hundred pages of reader notes and my own paper edits to go through, and two sections to look at more closely, but the big work is done.

Cheep! Cheep!

And the third draft of The Stratford Man is done, and I can't find any more logic flaws or weak bits that I know how to fix.

Which means I have no excuse not to go back and start kicking Bridge of Blood And Iron back into shape again, alas.

Writing novels is like feeding a nest full of baby birds. It's all gaping mouths and running back and forth, and you just keep stuffing grubs down their throats in whatever order they yell loudest, until you either figure out one's dead and it's time to push it out of the nest, or it grows up and flies away.

I think I'm going to have a look at "Abjure the Realm" and see if I can make it pretty enough to send to Ideomancer.
