If the Red Sox win the World Series tonight, I'm claiming credit, through my amazing intermittent ability to influence the real world by writing fiction about it.

I have faith in their ability to lose in the most dramatically ironic fashion possible, however, which would, of course, be the Cards pulling out the next four in a row.

On the other hand, if they do win, coupled with a blood red moon, can anyone doubt that the end times are upon us? When the Beast rises out of the sea, don't say I didn't warn you.

(Hey, where the heck are my thousand years of peace?)

It sort of amuses me that if the Rapture did happen, you'd barely know it. Who'd miss a hundred thousand people, these days?

Whipped.

It's chilly and raw here today; another storm off the pacific, having largely spent its fury on the coast, is hanging over Las Vegas not raining much, but being sort of East-Coasty.

The dogs were sulking on the sofa.

So I made them toast, because they looked cold.
