Go ahead, push your luck.

Day Nine: I have taken the Sudafed, though it makes me mean and manic. But I can't handle the ichor dripping down the back of my throat any more.

If I'm evil to you today, it's a 50/50 shot it's just the drugs and the end of book irritability. (The alternative is that you were being patronizing. I respond to condescension with evil even when I'm not drugged. There is absolutely nothing in the world that will set me off faster than being cosseted, hovered at, talked down to, or explained-to-in-small-words. Yes, I am defensive.) Really, safest to shove the pizza under the door and run.

And we're into the climax. This is the part where I start running back and forth as fast as I can, keeping the plates spinning, faster and faster and faster and faster--

So they can all come down in one tremendous, satisfying crash.
