literature sally and encyclopedia

bring me lullabyes and morphine dreams

One of the awesome writers I met in Massachusetts last weekend was Dolen Perkins-Valdez. I just read her debut novel, Wench, and, well, wow. Smart, amazing, troubling book. I highly recommend it.

Now I need to read something with fluffy bunnies. Fluffy bunnies that live happily ever after. Or maybe a crime-solving fluffy bunny.

I did get about 2000 words of wolf book today, and got to introduce a new character. (For once it was me, and not truepenny!) So I feel productive, and soon I need to take the dog for a walk.

Before I do that, though, I'd like to mention that there's a fandom auction ongoing to help defray costs of a liver transplant for Deb Mensinger, who I have had the joy of being on a WisCon panel with. I'll let deliasherman explain, because she has done so very well.

In any case, I'm contributing to the auction, over at debsliverlovers, with a signed copy of the sold-out-from-the-presses Bone and Jewel Creatures, which you cannot get anywhere else ever, pretty much, because I believe there are no plans to reprint it.

Here are the instructions on how to bid. Also, you should totally check out the rest of the community, which has some amazing stuff on offer.
