The Jeff, ctwriter, and I attended the Connecticut rally in support of the Wisconsin unions yesterday.


There was signage:

   

  

As you can see, Uncle Sam was in attendance. (My favorite signs: "Walk like an Egyptian," and "Paws for Wisconsin.")

It was a good crowd, motivated and cheerful, and as you can see turnout was good. Most popular improvised chant of the day: "STOP THE BASTARDS!" But we did determine that the old standards are still best.

Being Yankees, the rallyers kept off the flowerbeds:

Afterwards, at the grocery store:

In other news, it's snowing again.

Tea today: Upton domestic peppermint
Teacup today: Merlin's Cave, with punctuation fail

No actual work scheduled for today, but errands--Penzey's spices, Vietnamese grocery--and then (I hope) climbing and my online Call of Cthulhu game. A day off, in other words. Which makes, good gravy, two days off in a row.

And doing a lot of staring at the wall and hoping those two novellas I have to write in March will resolve themselves if I ignore them hard enough.
