I got my second vertical 5.10 tonight*, although Austin 5.10s are easier than Hartford ones. Still, it was a pretty damned stiff climb--big moves, off-balance, and three dynos--though the holds were mostly not bad. There was one move that involved hanging off a big doughnut, one foot smearing on a side wall and the other on a little chip, making gibbon noises (uhn! uhn! uhn!) until I had the wherewithal to hurl myself up to the next hold.
I'm pretty pleased with myself.
Now I need to try to get four hours of sleep before my flight tomorrow. Oh, airlines, you hurt my heart.
*Third, if I count the one the gym owner said was a 5.10, even though it was rated at 5.9+
