Life is going out of its way to wear me out. I suspect I am dehydrated, and my tea did not come in the mail today; neither did either of the videos I am waiting for. But I am enjoying my vacation, and I got three of the research books on China yesterday. Also a lovely present from porphyrin. Wow.

I am a lucky girl.

Watched two episodes of I Spy with kit_kindred and two episodes of The Man from UNCLE with katallen last night. What a glorious waste of time.

I spent an awful lot of time shrieking "Oh my god! White stretch jeans!"

It's just one of those things.

Lemme guess. Scotty's white stretch jeans? They stretch so very, very nicely...

I must soon get back to my semi-snarky "I Spy" reviews. I had accidentally deleted the file and only just found a copy of it on one of my cds.
It was Scotty-and-Kelly's white stretch jeans. Which are very nice, but while they were skulking around in the woods at night, their derrieres were twinkling like fireflies. *g* Putting the 'b' back into 'subtle.' *g*

Culp had a pretty nice side kick, though.

Of course, I've also been known to yell things like "Illya, if you got a (&%&^%*&*()^O stocking cap for skulking around at night, you wouldn't wind up chained to so many walls, son!" at my telly. 'Cause, you know. All that blond hair is awfully reflective *g*

LOL! Kelly doesn't have as MUCH derriere, but it is a nice one. All that track.

Obviously, he LIKES being tied up/chained up/strapped up/hung from the ceiling, and is not getting enough of it from Napoleon and/or Mr. Waverly. (hmm. did I just squick myself?)
If I didn't know any better, I'd think you'd been reading Man from UNCLE slash again *g*
It's weird...I never liked MUNCLE slash much, though I did enjoy Lois Balzer's sort of alternate-universe take (gen, but chock-full of male bonding). It wasn't really like MUNCLE because of the huge backstories she built up for them made them into, essentially, her own characters, but I liked them anyway. If I was in the right mood for mushy.

But mostly, I don't get a slashy vibe from them. "I Spy" seems slashier to me. Not sure why.

Maybe it's because my Secret Vice is het.
Heterosexuality is a secret vice? It seems like a very public vice ,a lot of the time. Or am I missing something?
For a fanfiction fan who hangs out with slashers, it's a vice.

I get to be the Token Het Fan, as natlyn is often the Token Gen Fan.
I do indeed grok. Actually, my livejournal friends list is such that I often feel like the token pro. *g* Especially when I'm writing pastiche or homage, and thinking, how is this different from fanfic?

Well, in that I hope to get paid for it, and fiction fiction (even pastiche and homage) need to do slightly different things than fanfiction.

But still.

Heh. Mine, not so much. But I do sort of know what you mean--sometimes discussions of writign fanfic and writing original stuff can be similar, and sometimes they are two separate animals. Like, a whale and a cheetah.
That's a pretty big difference in animality, but I think I tend to agree.
