you're telling all those lies about the good things that we can have if we close our eyes
I have achieved a milestone on the welves today. An Apprentice to Elves stands at 80,000 words. Also, I've gotten to the end of the stuff I needed to backfill and repair, and from here on it it's just drafting. And I'm almost to the climax, which is really exciting. The book has started doing that thing where it wakes me up with bits of plot and fabulous ideas, which is so much nicer than the part in the middle where I have to go out and hunt down every word with a club.
It's hard in part because middles are transitions, and transitions suck. Maybe we should just skip middles.
#NaNoFinishMo is a go. I'm going to see how far I can get before I have to leave for Windycon on Thursday. Three more writing days whee!
