writers is nuts.

So this weekend, I wrote about a thousand words on a short story, cooked several good meals, completely screwed up a loaf of bread, walked six miles, paid bills, called my mom, did several sinks full of dishes, played with my dogs, read two books and a play and made serious headway on another book, participated in several amusing online discussions, did weights, comforted a friend, went grocery shopping, bought shirts, bought my mom's birthday present, figured out six major plot points on the novel, collected a rejection letter or two, got sixteen glorious hours of sleep--

--and because I only wrote about 400 words on the NOVEL, I feel like I wasted two days.

WHAT is UP with THAT?
