So I did do one thing at WisCon that I've never done before. I've taken home one of elisem's beautiful necklace as an artist's challenge. It's a long single strand of Labradorit, white Australian opal, and swampwater-colored almost-aquamarine. It's name is "The Follow Me Light."

cpolk, you would find this concept interesting; the necklace, you see, becomes the inspiration for a work of art by the recipient artist. Much like the picture in a picture game. There's an explanation of how it works on the Lioness's homepage.

So I'm writing a science fiction story about will o'the wisps, around the structure of this beautiful, subtle necklace with the bits of flash and fire worked through it. I have about two paragraphs. I'm very excited about it.

Sounds like a great idea for a story, hope to hear more.

So, is in an old, stale joke to say that if you make a faux pas at WisCon, you're committing a WisCon sin? *groans*
If it wasn't before, it is now.....
