I got a ton done on Scardown today--nearly 1900 words. And I'm in that intricate stage with "Wane" where you're setting out all the clues to the murder mystery as subtly as possible and making sure all your ducks are in a row. I know the plot, but I have to keep going back and adjusting a detail, burying something just a touch deeper, and so on. It's hard, tiring work. But I don't know another way to write a mystery.
Page 11, and we just got to the murder, but I think I need every word that goes before it. I'll post a wordcount for the day on that one when its done.
