I don't know how you expect to end war and stuff if you can't sing any better'n that.

I have only one superstition. I touch all the bases when I hit a home run.

Tyop du jour: the suntext of the attack
Darling du jour: "You know what they say," Kusanagi-Jones quipped. "Détente is achieved when everybody's unhappy."

Interesting research fact of the day: black jade often isn't.
Other writing-related work: two submissions, and reviewing a contract.

And I am older than I once was, and younger than I'll be,
But that's not unusual.
No, it isn't strange.
After changes upon changes, we are more or less the same.

Black opal isn't. I'm still occasionally surprised by jade not always just being green, though: 'jade green' is rooted so deeply in my brain that 'jade pink' or 'jade yellow' just don't work for me as color descriptors; luckily people don't use them, or I'd have to adapt. ;)

What is it about black and white? Things that look black or white (frex, horses!) aren't, but things that don't look black or white are so labeled. . . ::sigh::
Congratulations on your Hugo nomination!
*g* technically speaking, the Campbell isn't a Hugo, though they're on the same ballot and awarded at the same ceremony. (I know, I know, it seems like a ridiculous distinction, but there it is.)

And thank you!
Yr title is one of my favorite Arlo Guthrie moments ever.

It's the "and stuff."

I also like Country Joe and the Fish's "There's about five hundred thousand of you fuckers out there--"

And has the CAMPBELL GLOW worn off yet/has the news sunk in?

I'm thinking of having it bronzed. The Campbell Glow, I mean. Say what you like about external validation; it's awfully nice when you get some.
