I love my home state.

I just saw that on the news. Bravo! Hope... is kindled.

Way fuckin' cool.
"... I believe in no discrimination of any kind...

Of any kind, eh? Except, you know, that whole equal marriage thing.

Still, a step in the right direction, and by a Republican, too. Go her.
Heh. She's in a verra precarious position. She'd better behave.

Her former boss just went to jail, and she hasn't actually been, you know, *elected* yet, you see.
And they did it in a civil manner, too. Now (to split hairs just a bit) it would have been better if they didn't have to insert the part about marriage as being between a man and a woman. I might have been happier, but it's still progress. The state deserves the big pat on the back. Why is it that you don't live there any longer? ;-)
Because I was stupid. Rub it in, bitch. *g*
There is hope for the future after all. Now if the others would just follow suit.
I love your home state, too.

It will be fun to watch religious folks argue against these civil unions while trying to pay lip service to the separation of church and state.
It's a great time to live in New England.
Isn't it always?
The hither reaches of Down East, in February?

Hm, who knew there was a psychic connection between Connecticut and Spain? http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/world/europe/4469653.stm
It's pretty sad when Spain, a traditional bastion of machismo (at least stereotypicall) does this before the US does. Gaaah.
Yay Nutmeggers!
w00t! Go Jodi!

I knew good things would happen when they got that @#$%^@$% out of office... not that, you know, I think the two are related or anything.
