BPAL: Titus Andronicus

This is the most cracktastic song in years. And in honor of the amount of bugging Carnival is doing now that Whiskey & Water is out of the way, today we're trying

BPAL Description:

Dark musk and black amber with frankincense, red sandalwood, neroli and bergamot.

My Notes:

Vial: warm, musky. A little perfumey, actually, which I think is the neroli and the musk combined.

Wet: musk! musk musk and more musk. The amber emerging a little, and something just made me sneeze like a cat....

Drydown: more balanced musk and amber emergest first. I can't really smell the citrus, and the frankincense and amber are similar enough that I can't pick them out, exactly. It's a nice scent, though, warm and comfortable. aha, there's a little citrus overtone emerging, developing.

Dry: Amber with a little bergamot and musk. Nice. Not complex, not too strong.

Ohh... that sounds really nice. But I'm a sucker for amber.

So many people I know are doing the BPAL thing. I may have to give in and check it out...
Did someone say whiskey...?
"Goodnight Moon" was the song under the opening credits of a TV show I wrote for, "The Fearing Mind." I was so excited when it turned up in the Kill Bill credits too.

Re: BPAL: Titus Andronicus

ok, so this BPAL proliferation is starting to suck me in, despite not being one for perfumes, since i am definitely one for scents and the words to describe them.

when you say "amber", is that a short form for "ambergris", or is this ground up amber? i can't say that the amber i have smells a lot unless i rub it, and even then the aroma is very faint.

Re: BPAL: Titus Andronicus

I am being sucked in, too. Picking out my first group of samples as we speak. I've ran into it through about four different groups of unrelated people in as many months.

Amber refers to amber resin, which I love. It's a very warm and sweet scent. There are also ones that specifically use ambergris.

Re: BPAL: Titus Andronicus

It's crack.

I like the logic puzzle aspects a lot. *g*

Re: BPAL: Titus Andronicus

Amber is the scent of amber resin, which is the stuff that turns into amber if you give it a few hundred million years to harden.
I lerve "Goodnight Moon." It's on the "Women's Voices" mix I made for Yoon.
You know, BPAL is releasing a blend called Carnivale until August 1... Just saying.
Hee. *g* You are a bad bad person. Bad.
I have no idea what you're talking about. *adjusts halo* :P
