Hah! This is Michelangelo's cologne, almost perfectly. Yes, I do know what my characters smell like. That might be too much information, mightn't it?
I couldn't describe their faces, mind you, but I know what they smell like.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Come whiffing through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
An earthy yet buoyant scent: pine, eucalyptus and orange
You know, I can recite that poem in its entirety. *g* I used to be able to do "To His Coy Mistress," too, but I've forgotten most of that one, and "Love is not all," as well. I bet I could still do "nature's first green is gold," though....
My poetry memorizing phase was brief and distant.
Vial: mmm eucalyptus
Wet: eucalyptus and pine, and the small sweetness of the orange. I really like this, in an early morning bodywash sort of way. It's invigorating and warm and reminds me of the eucalyptus my mom used to keep around the house.
Drydown: This is one of the ones that shifts around you as you move. The orange and eucalyptus come on sort of tendrils, with the pine behind them, and when they blend they hit a kind of mild almond note that's very rich and calming. This is loffly. I want to put it on my pillow.
Dry: It mellows off a lot, becoming sort of pine-forest loamy with a rich note, but there is still that occasional sting of eucalyptus.
Nice. It makes me want a bubblebath. *g*
