Do you suppose Guy Noir ever met Nick Danger?

Only in the land where influences come from.

Tracer Bullet, however, drinks with Guy Noir every second Friday.

The Tracer Bullet arcs were almost always the best ones. Waterman claimed they were so rare because they were so hard to write well. He had a point.

Holy cow, I'm starting to feel like a stalker ... I'm reading your book right now and loving it!

And you're right, Continental Op all the way. Although I adore Ned Beaumont.
Nancy, Nancy, Nancy -- what's the bird's eye lowdown on this caper? Whatever that means.

Sorry, I just couldn't resist. My name's Kim, by the way, and I found you through LJ pimpage. Hi!

It's ok, they're speaking Chinese...

I'm here to see Audrey Farber.
Audrey Farber?
Susan Underhill?
Susan Underhill?
Melanie Haber.
Melanie Haber?
How about Betty Jo Bialowski??
Oh, you mean Nancy! She's in the Eviary, stuffing trees.

I don't know if I should be proud or scared to have most of that entire album memorized.

If no eyes, avoid all contact

He stopped on a dime.

Unfortunately, the dime was in Mr. Rococco's pocket!

You can wait here in the sitting room, or sit here in the waiting room.

"We're going to grease!"
"And swim the English Channel?"
"No, to ancient Greece, where burning Sappho loved and sang and stroked the wine-dark la-di-do-dah. Look at this grape!"

Gah. It's been thirty years, and I think that last last line is ill-remembered, but I'm pretty sure that's the gist of it.

Or is that from the other side of the album? (In prehistoric times, the CDs of those days had *two sides*. And were much larger. And darker. But warm-blooded. And then they evolved into birds. The End.)

He's no fun. He fell right over.

God, I loved that stuff.
You made me laugh so hard my cat ran away. And then, the strangest thing happened ...
I just discovered that a bunch of FT has been rereleased on CD. And some is available through itunes.

I'm doomed.
Yeppers. I have Nick Danger on CD from Rhino Records, the same fine people who bring me MST3K. I love Rhino Records.
I don't know if I should be proud or scared to have most of that entire album memorized.

Since I do too, you should probably be very scared.
Welcome! Come on in!
And then I wonder, on way too little sleep, whether either of them have ever met Danger Mouse. And then I wonder, if Danger Mouse has ever met Pinky.

I think I either need more coffee, or a nap.
I'm certain that they met one rainy Thursday afternoon when Guy Noir was going out to meet a client in the coffee shop down the street from Nick Danger's office. Nick was walking out with a triple-shot decaf with extra foam, while Guy was walking in. Guy accidentally bumped Nick, knocking the cup from his hands. Guy handed him a handkerchief and offered to buy new coffee. They chatted briefly while the barrista made espresso. Nick left with his coffee and Guy settled in to wait for his client. They never learned that they were both in the same line of work, however.
I think I heard that story from Dirk Gently.
Now I wish I had gone to the Street Dance and Meatloaf supper, even though the weather's been crappy this weekend.

Plus, Steven Brust was in town doing the Ren Faire.

All the fun stuff happens in lousy weather.

I spell my name--DANGER!

GuyNoir is supposed to sound like a New Yorker?
