Go buy tim_pratt's book.

And go read about scott_lynch's book, as well.

Darn it! I didn't need more books to add to my Christmas list!

Me too!

(Saw the comment, said, "Oh! It's out!" then realised I already have 28 fiction books on the dread list... that's enough, isn't it?
Tim Pratt's book is massively awesome. One of the two best fantasy books I read all year.
The Pratt book is next, once I finish yours.
Ok, I'm on vacation next week and I've realized the fiction side of my book stack is very low. So I may go out and see if I can find Tim's book around here.

...And lo, I got distracted between typing the sentence above and getting back here and so after being distracted but before coming back here I went out and bought the book!

...that's damned funny.
Ha. That's awesome, I come here linked from John Scalzi and stumble across talk of Scott Lynch. I was lucky enough to get a review copy of this book, and I can tell you this; the only novels that have blown me away from beginning to end as much as this are Martin's A Game of Thrones and Stover's Heroes Die.

Have you read it?
No, I haven't. But I've read enough of his work to know that I seriously need to have him killed, and quickly. (kidding, kidding)

He's a freaking force of nature.

Pleased to meet you!
Pleased to meet you too. This 'interweb' sure makes for a small world, eh?

<-- You wrote a short called The Dying of the Light - have you ever read the novel Dying of the Light? It's very good y'know.

Oh, and please don't kill Scott, he leads our small group of rebels in our quest for good fiction and better writing!
*g* Yeah, but he's going to run me out of a job if I'm not careful....
