Jackie Likes It.

I watched television last night.

Specifically, a television show called "Lucky," on FX. Which is a half-hour black comedy detailing the life of a professional gambler in Las Vegas and oh my god, it's true. I can tell the target demographic for this show is 20-something single males (mostly by the commercials--scantily clad women hawking alcoholic beverages).

But oh my god. Have they ever captured the essential madness that is the city of Las Vegas, incongruity in the desert. Las Vegas, land of the lost. Sin City and her soft white underbelly of children's charities.

Most television shows and movies about Vegas seem to capture the tourist experience pretty well. But this--

It's mad. It's perfect. It's just like living here.

Quick, get me on an airplane somewhere else....

LOL Sounds like fun to me ::grin::

Guess what? I'm four scenes from the end. I was out this Monday and Tuesday sick and I did one chapter on Monday and discovered another on Tuesday. 5400 words per day in four hours, so not bad huh? Just don't ask me to go over them yet. Yes, it's that bad lol. I might end up rewriting every last one of them::grin::

I'm dying to get this bitch done now...
