Reason for stopping: time to think again
Mammalian Assistance: Maggie is on the sofa behind me.
Stimulants: Blue Lady tea and mac and cheese
Exercise: none so far, but something tells me there might be shoveling later.
Mail: nomail
Today's words Word don't know:  scissored
Tyop du jour: n/a
Darling du jour: "as unlike the messy, improvisational sidereal time of the meat puppets as a Christmas ornament was unlike a diamond crystal"
Books in progress: Alastair Reynolds, Century Rain. I'm still enjoying this, though I haven't focused on the reading very effectively this week. I hire dialogue coaches, but sometimes things slip through.
Interesting research tidbits of the day: n/a
Other writing-related work: n/a

Argh. I'm doing that thing. The thing where you write a hooky opening sequence and then stop the action dead on page four for some exposition.

*sigh*

You know, I may have gotten so self-conscious about what my writing is *doing* that I can't manage to actually see if it's working any more?

I'm going to curl up and watch The Avengers now.
