In the mean time, Undertow has ground up on the shoals of the plot needing to make sense again. I can feel my brains busily spinning away in there, and there are lots of bits of information and Cool Plot Things I mean to get around to, but it hasn't yet clicked together into a satisfying pattern.
So it's kind of giving me one scene at a time with long pauses to thrash and contemplate between them. The book, in other words, is eating my head.
Which is good, because books are supposed to eat one's head, and this one has been making me chase it.
The nice thing about experience is that my reaction to this experience is no longer panic, but rather "Oh, no, here we go again."
