I won't tell a soul except the people in the nightclub where I sing.

Pages 318 and 327 and 336 also have no red marks.

Maybe I tired my poor CE out.

Your icon just made me laugh so hard I think I pulled something.
What's the difference between an editor and a copy editor?
*g* you do realize you could just look in a dictionary for that answer, yes?

Actually no I didn't have the brains for it. I think I spent too much time in the sun this morning. This must be what it's like to be a Pooh Bear.
Hee.

We all have moments.

In fiction publishing, anyway, the editor acquires the manuscript, works with the writer to polish it as much as possible (editors also do a bunch of other stuff, but that's the part of their job that *I* get to see), and then the delivered book goes to the CE, who edits for house style, grammar, consistency, factual errors, adds typesetting marks, and in general keeps the writer from looking dumb.

deannahoak is a copyeditor, and a damned good one. She talks about her work a lot over there.

alg is an editor, who talks about *her* work a lot as well.
Thanks for the info. I have an editor, she's really good. Actually I have 2 of them. My husband does editing work as well so I run stuff by both of them. Now I just have to finish writing and then see about how I get something published :) (or at least looked at).

I love it when that happens. :-)
Last chapter of the day. *g*

She had to go out and buy a new pen?
I think a few pencils died for my sins on this one.

Ah, The Old 97's. The next time we are at a con together I'm buying you a scotch and we can geek out about music,'cause we both seem to have a similar, somewhat eclectic taste in song and singers.
Hee. I am, um, yeah. *g* Sounds like a plan.
