fortunately, I had not yet commenced to coffee.
Pity. I liked the idea of filming it in Iceland (an appropriately raw landscape), and hoped it would at least not be dumb. But it seems they may have failed to clear that bar.
When I saw it in the store I remembered the Iceland part and hoped for the best. Alas.
Apropos of nothing in particular... I just finished Hammered, and loved it so much that I handed it to a friend immediately.

She sent me the following email from work this morning:

"Elizabeth Bear is the devil. YOU are her devoted minion. I almost missed getting up at Metro Center.

That book is FABULOUS."

Meh, I liked this one better. Somehow just snarkily recounting a movies' silliness rubs me the wrong way, since if you're clever enough you could make, hell, 'the seven samurai' sound ridiculous.
